Why donate to help small business?
Small business is the engine room of employment in most developed and developing countries with more than 95% of businesses employing less than 200 employees. Many owners and operators of small businesses suffer from "not knowing what they don't know". This is a primary reason why around 80% of businesses fail in their first two years. Many of the business owners that survive take many more years than they really needed to be successful. Many say if I had known what I know now, after 20 years in business", I could have been successful in only five years. The role of the Business Advisor Network is to help small business owners and operators realize what they need to know so they can grow their businesses and the number of employees, as quickly as they want rather than as quickly as they can.
Who has the expertise they need?
There are a multitude of
seriously experienced executives with many years of training and experience that have reached a time in their successful lives when they want to give something back to the business community. These are the
accredited advisors supported by the Business Advisor Network, who donate some time each month, to support the business community. Many deliver seminars, workshops and training sessions to help pass on some of their enormous bank of corporate experience for the good of the business community. The Institute for Independent Business which is a not for profit organisation based in the United Kingdom that operates in more than 20 countries globally and has accredited over 5000 associates.
What will we do with your donation and what are the results so far?
Business Advisor Network will add the donation you provide to the funds provided by
sponsors and partners to expand the services we provide to the small business community. This includes the delivery of programs and initiatives like the
Advance! Australia Initiative with it's series of
free educational seminars to business owners and operators.
To August 2009 we have had:
- 562 Total registrations over 4 seminars;
- 189 Business Owners requested a FREE visit from a Senior Business Advisor;
- 123 Business Owners have had a FREE diagnostic review provided by a Senior Business Advisor from the Business Advisor Network ;
- 446 Attendee requests for further information from a Sponsor or partner; AND
- A 220 page book, crammed full of great business solutions has been published.
